Welcome to Dragon LNG. We are a standalone business in Pembrokeshire, Wales, running two companies, Dragon LNG Ltd and Dragon Energy Ltd.

Dragon LNG is our core business. We import, store and regasify LNG, before distributing through the National Transmission System.

Our Company

Our terminal is the result of our shareholders’ multi-million pound investments into Wales and the UK’s energy infrastructure.

Ownership of the terminal is Shell 50% and
VTTI 50%, and there are contracts in place governing the use of the capacity rights (Shell 50% and Petronas 50%).
Our two companies are Dragon LNG Ltd and Dragon Energy Ltd.

Dragon LNG Ltd is our core business connecting LNG into the UK gas network for our LNG supply customers (currently Shell and Petronas) per a long term Customer
Agreement.

We:

  • Have been a critical part of the nation’s energy infrastructure since August 2009
  • Can receive up to 96 LNG vessels a year
  • Are able to supply over 10% of the UK’s annual natural gas demand
  • Provide a link between the UK and its overseas gas suppliers.
  • Have a reliquefaction plant, to maintain zero-send out indefinitely

Dragon Energy Ltd generates 7% of the terminal’s consumption with our 18,500 solar panels.

One of just three such terminals in the UK, Dragon forms a critical part of the nation’s energy infrastructure, providing a link between the UK and its overseas gas suppliers for a vital source of clean and reliable energy.

We are in the process of constructing 3 wind turbines which, when
complete, will provide up to 13.5mw of peak power, providing nearly 40% of the electricity the terminal requires.
